A Fashionista & Entrepreneur
I have been a lover of fashion for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing dress-up with my Mom’s prom gowns and vintage hats and jewelry that I discovered in antique shops. I have also never been without a job. I was the little girl in the neighborhood who was always handing out flyers for various odd jobs or businesses that I had started. While attending The University of Connecticut, I decided to combine my passions and major in Business and minor in Fashion Merchandising. Immediately following graduation, I moved to New York and began my career in the corporate office of Ann Taylor. I held various positions in merchandising during my decade long tenure there, ultimately becoming the Vice President of Merchandising for their Career Separates, Suits and Special Occasion Divisions.
If I had the opportunity to have any designer fill my closet, it would either be Oscar de la Renta or Carolina Herrera. I am a lover of stripes, all shades of pink and I have never met a bow or ruffle that I didn’t covet!
A Bridal Store Owner
I love all things weddings. In 2004, I founded The White Dress by the Shore, a bridal boutique on the Connecticut shoreline, offering chic couture for brides, mothers and maids. The White Dress by the shore was created out of a desire to provide every bride with an exceptional and memorable shopping experience. My staff and I strive to exceed that goal every day. I never tire of assisting brides in selecting the perfect gown and accessories that will complement their personal style and wedding aesthetic.
Fashion is ever-changing and that is why I love it! Editorial styling is a creative outlet for me. I have been fortunate to style shoots around the globe, collaborating with some of the the most talented creative teams in the world! When styling individual brides, I assist them in discovering their personal aesthetic and interpreting it for their wedding day. It is such an exciting time to be a bride, as the fashion options are endless. There is a look for every bride, and my job is to help her find it!
A Consultant & Mentor
I am passionate about connecting with and supporting other business owners, particularly in the fields of bridal and fashion retail. I have a proven record in innovation and creating an exceptional client experience. I draw on my industry knowledge and insight to guide businesses to reach their highest potential. I have experience mentoring bridal store owners, as well as acting as a mentor for the QC School Styling Academy. I have enjoyed mentoring students from around the world and guiding them toward their goal of becoming a professional stylist.
I recently launched The Series, a video series for bridal store owners intended to educate them on best practices for running a profitable bridal store and to train their sales associates on product knowledge and selling techniques in order to elevate their brand, the level of service in their store, and to increase their sales.
My styling work and voice has been included in various books and bridal publications including: “Wedding Bible,“ “Simple Stunning Bride,” Inside Weddings Magazine, Grace Ormonde, La Bella Bride, BRIDES Magazine, WellWed Magazine, The Connecticut Bride, Bliss Celebrations, Gala Weddings, Southern New England Weddings Magazine, BrideLIFE Magazine, style me pretty and 100 Layer Cake and the inspirational coffee table book that I co-authored, “The White Dress in color-Inspirations for the modern bride.“ My media experience includes: WWLP’s Mass Appeal, The Martha Stewart Radio Show and WTNH.
A Wife & Mother
My most important job is being a wife to my husband, Mark, and mother to two children, Lindsay and Mark, and our fur baby, Mr. Pickles.
