RUSTIC ELEGANCE TENTED WEDDING IN CONNECTICUT

Alex and Sam were blessed with the most gorgeous September day for their fall wedding in Connecticut. A beautiful chapel wedding ceremony set the tone for this fairytale wedding day. A tented wedding reception at the Highfield Club continued the rustic elegance theme with hanging lanterns, farm house tables, and warm candlelight. The neutral toned color palette was perfect for a romantic fall wedding day.

As wedding day stylists and dressers, we always love helping our brides and their families and wedding parties coordinate all of their wedding day looks. Most often this includes an outfit change for the bride into a reception look. We love that bride Alex went in a slightly different direction by changing her hairstyle for the wedding reception, going from a classic bridal updo bun hairstyle and letting her hair down for the reception.

Bride Alex’s Monique Lhullier silk organza wedding gown was straight out of a storybook. A simple but beautifully crafted A-line bridal dress with a corset style bodice, draping off the shoulder sleeves, and long train is fit for any fairytale princess. A long bridal veil and a bouquet of white blooms and greenery completed her elegant bridal style. Groom Alex completed the bride’s elegant style in a classic black tuxedo.

Adding to the personalized details of their wedding day, Alex got ready on wedding morning at her family’s residence and the wedding ceremony was held at the family’s church.

Perfect for a fall outdoor wedding, the bridesmaids wore mismatched style, satin Jenny Yoo dresses in sage green and carried smaller bouquets that matched the bridal bouquet.

Alex and Sam had the most perfect “getaway car,” a vintage convertible that made for an amazing photo opportunity with Alex’s bridal veil billowing in the breeze.
