The best wedding dress and bridal fashion trends this season are floral details, bows, bridal capes, the color pink and classic lace. Enough suspense, here are the best wedding dress and bridal fashion trends that we spotted on this year’s runways in New York City that brides will see popping up in bridal stores in the early Spring.

We’re taking you behind the scenes of this year’s bridal runway to get a BTS look at this year’s newest designer bridal trends!

Bridal Trend #1: Floral Details

Floral details graced many of the Fall 2024 bridal fashion designers' runways this season.

Floral details, like appliqués throughout a wedding dress, are a beautiful alternative to a lace bridal gown, and provide a delicate feminine detail to any bridal fashion look.

To see the floral detail trend in action, be sure to check out our bride, Amelia in her Oscar de la Renta strapless wedding gown with floral appliques. You might also love our bride’s cap sleeve wedding dress with 3-D floral lace for her lovely lakeside wedding.

Bridal Trend #2: Bows

As a bridal stylist, it is no secret that I LOVE a bow, so bows are a Fall 2024 bridal fashion trend that I will never tire of!

Big or small, to me, a bow on a wedding dress is a classic bridal fashion staple that gives any style bridal gown a timeless quality, while still being playful and fun.

If you love a classic bow moment (and who doesn’t!?), you will love this Anne Barge corset top wedding dress with the perfect bow at the waist from our modern-meets-classic bridal styled shoot.

Bridal Trend #3: Bridal Capes

Say “hello” to the newest of the new bridal fashion trends: a bridal cape!

The bridal cape is the new bridal veil for the Fall 2024 bridal fashion season. A bridal cape adds a beautiful level of drama to any wedding dress look that we can’t get enough of.

And, don’t forget that a bridal cape lends itself very well to a wedding dress reveal, or a 2-in-1 wedding dress look where the bride will switch up her look from ceremony to reception. A removable cape makes an outfit change on wedding day effortless - and gorgeous!

Bridal Trend #4: Classic & Floral Laces

Classic lace and floral lace wedding dresses were back at Fall 2024 New York Bridal Fashion Week!

We have seen clean, as in minimal, sleek and modern, style wedding dresses for many bridal designer seasons, so it is refreshing to see lace wedding dresses re-emerge as a bridal fashion trend this year.

For more on lace and floral bridal trends on the big day, we get chills just thinking about our bride’s ultra-romantic lace wedding dress complete with a dramatic lace trimmed bridal veil. We also loved our bride’s traditional all-over lace ball gown bridal dress for her lakeside wedding.

Bridal Trend #5: Sassy Short Wedding Dresses

Little white dresses for wedding related events graced virtually every Fall 2024 bridal runway. From mini dresses for the rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, engagement party, and wedding reception after party, brides love a sassy short wedding dress and bridal designers are taking notes!

Brides are continuing to love the idea of switching up their look throughout their wedding day, and bridal dress designers have delivered some adorable little white dress options that encompass all of the current bridal fashion trends!

If you’re interested in changing up your look on the wedding day, don’t miss our bride, Caroline’s sparkle and fringe short after party wedding dress - it was the perfect touch to their sparkler exit!

Bridal Trend #6: Pink

With the recent Barbie movie and subsequent Barbiecore craze, it is not a surprise that pink emerged as a Fall 2024 bridal fashion trend on many wedding dress designers’ runways.

Pink is such a soft, feminine color, so it always lends itself beautifully to a wedding dress. From blush to pale to light, don’t be surprised when you see pink wedding dresses walking down the aisle this coming wedding season.
