What better way to celebrate your first anniversary, then having your romantic orchard wedding featured on Martha Stewart Weddings?

This wedding was special for so many reasons. Not only is this gorgeous couple dear friends of mine, but so were all of the vendors involved. And the cherry blossom on top?! The wedding took place right in my hometown of Guilford, Connecticut!

I’ll let the Martha Stewart feature tell the whole story, but we all need to take a moment to admire the focal point of the wedding (besides beautiful Lauren Ann)- the floral tree. Floral designer extraordinaire, Yumiko Fletcher, of Hana Floral Design, selected one apple tree in the middle of Bishop’s Orchard, where the ceremony took place, and she and her team hand wired thousands of cherry blossoms to it. So, in the middle of an orchard with bare trees, stood a beautiful pink confection, bursting with blooms. This tree signified the blooming of a new family, and it was here where Steve and L.A. said their vows.

I wish Steve, L.A. And Luke all of the happiness in the world. I am so happy you two found each other and that I could have a small part in your very special day!
