In an effort to have an environment where bridal store owners could share ideas and have open conversations about their businesses, I created a private Facebook Group called The White Dress Society. This week I hosted the first White Dress Society Retreat at my bridal boutique, The White Dress by the shore, and the event was beautifully captured by Carla Ten Eyck.
The 2 day retreat brought together 15 bridal store owners from across the country (and Canada). We used our time together to learn + share + be inspired!
La Tavola Linens and Big Top Rentals, with the assistance of Jubilee Events, helped to transform our garden into a beautiful event space! This is where we shared our meals over the 2 day period. Beautiful florals by Carrie Wilcox Floral Design added a beautiful pop of color to our black and white palate!
The White Dress Society Retreat guests received swag bags with local goodies and necessities from: Jennie Fresa Beauty, Red Rooster Baking Company , Solemates and Foxon Park (a local Connecticut based soda company).
Guests also received custom candles from LA based, White Feather Collection’s First Dance Edition.
We had an incredible line up of speakers that shared their insights and expertise with our guests. I spoke on the Art of Relationship Selling and Creating your Competitive Advantage and provided the bridal store owners with a sneak peek of the next iteration of The Series– The Series 2.0, which will be launched early this Fall.
Also on hand were: Paula Jean Burns of Bespoke your Life who spoke on Creating Your Own Definition of Success, Myrna Daramy of Mezzohead Media Corporation discussed Technology Insights and Winning Social Media Strategies, Brian Jarvis, Retail Expert, who demonstrated tips for Managing Cash Flow,Sharon Luecke, founder of The Bare Bride who inspired us with a discussion on Mindful Marketing to the Heart of the Bride, Liz Dederer who chatted about Hiring, Training and Retaining Staff and Rachel Edwards of Dreamscape Design Group who talked about Creating a Lasting Brand.
My Mom Pam (aka: Grammy Pammy) was a huge help this with the event! It was great to have her with us!
We enjoyed 2 delicious lunches from Gourmet Galley and were blessed with beautiful weather in the garden.
The gorgeous and talented store owners that joined us!
The guests were treated to a surprise visit from The Cinnamon Stand. A brand new cinnamon food truck owned by own of my talented associates! They were DEEEE- LISH!
We closed the first evening with a visit from the Naples Pizza Truck and enjoyed wine and pizza in the garden. My favorite kind of night!
It was such an honor to host The White Dress Society Retreat and to spend time with like-minded bridal store owners! I look forward to many more in the future!
