BRIDAL FASHION WEEK SIP AND SEE FOR THE WHITE DRESS DESTINATIONS
I was thrilled to be able to host a Sip and See for my new book, The White Dress Destinations during New York Bridal Fashion Week. It was a great opportunity to gather with editors, store owners and designers and to take a breath during the madness of bridal market. The guests sipped bubbly from One Hope, a company that I support and admire, as all of their varietals support worthy causes. The brut we were drinking provided hot meals to children in need. Any wine and champagne sales from the evening also supported The Ethiopian Children’s Fund, in honor of the late Amsale Aberra. We also were treated to delicious cake bites from Madison Lee Cakes. Madison designed two cakes inspired by gowns from the book. One was the cover gown by Hayley Paige and the other was a gold jacquard gown by Theia.
A great big thank you to Theia Couture for hosting the event in their showroom…and for allowing us to have a ball with their runway backdrop and tiaras! Terrence Hamilton did a fabulous job of capturing the evening. I missed celebrating with my co-authors, Candice Coppola and Carla Ten Eyck, but I know that they were with me in spirit! We can’t wait for the opportunity to be able to celebrate our book launch when we can all be in the country at the same time!
