Best Destination Wedding Planning Book, Ideas, Style, Inspiration

Early this year, the second book in the The White Dress Series, The White Dress Destinations was launched. This book is the definitive guide to the NEW destination wedding. It is filled with tips on planning and choosing your fashion and photographer for your destination wedding. It also contains eye candy in the way of styled shoots from around the world to inspire couples as they embark on their journey of planning their wedding – either at home or abroad. When selecting the locations for the shoots in this book, we intentionally did not include any beach locations. Our intention was to show couples that a destination wedding does not have to be a proverbial white sand beach wedding. The new destination wedding is about exposing guests to a location that has some special meaning to the couple, or that is a location that couple has always wanted to visit. The new destination wedding is about immersing guests in the culture, flavors and colors of the destination, wherever in the world it may be.

Launch parties for the book were already hosted in Charleston, South Carolina, New York, and Barbados. It took a bit of time to coordinate the schedules of myself and my co- authors Candice Coppola and Carla Ten Eyck. We were finally able to celebrate the launch of the book in our home state of Connecticut! And not only was the event hosted in Connecticut, but right in my hometown of Guilford! It was such a treat to share the book with our brides, industry friends and many of the individuals who lent their talents to the project.

The event kicked off with a book signing at Breakwater Books and concluded with a celebration at The Marketplace. Downtown Guilford is a quaint, historic town and I loved being able to not only share my book with everyone, but two charming spots in my neighborhood!
