We have a very special bridal styling client to share with you today. This gorgeous bride is very near and dear to my heart as we’ve worked together styling brides for many years. I have had the pleasure and honor of working with Lauren for over seven years. I adore helping brides to select their fashion and assisting them with the alterations process. Being able to do this work with Lauren for her wedding day was even more special!
As a bridal and wedding fashion stylist, it is often hard to turn the tables on yourself and select your own wedding day look. But, as the bride, Lauren, was clear on her vision from the beginning and we were so grateful to wedding dress designer Anne Barge for helping to bring that vision to life!
The jacquard fabric that Lauren selected for her wedding gown gave just enough of a twist to the classic silhouette. Pearls are a fashion staple for Lauren (Pearls are also a big wedding and bridal fashion too!), so she asked Anne Barge to add a delicate pearl trim along the graceful v-neckline of her wedding dress. Because it is her belief that EVERYTHING is better with a bow, Lauren selected a beautiful bow train to add to the back of the bridal gown and extended the tails like a wedding dress train for a dramatic effect, both when they were down for the ceremony and bustled for the reception.
One of my favorite parts of Lauren’s wedding was the fact that her brother-in-law, who is a Catholic priest, married Lauren and Tim in a beautiful wedding ceremony. Their faith and their families are two things that have special meaning to both of them, and this special detail combined the two perfectly.
I could not be happier for Lauren. It was truly an honor to dress her for her wedding and to see her find her soulmate!

For her classic with a twist bridal style, bride Lauren had two wedding day looks. At the tented wedding reception, she changed into a short, sparkle and fringe reception bridal dress that was perfect for dancing the night away!
