ELEGANT, CLASSIC OUTDOOR WEDDING AT THE MOUNT IN THE BERKSHIRES
In August of 2021, Amelia and Stephen hosted an intimate outdoor wedding at The Mount in The Berkshires (also known as Edith Wharton’s Home.
It was such a pleasure providing day of wedding dressing service for this elegant wedding, as Amelia’s sense of style is unparalleled. Fashion was a main focus in the wedding planning and every look created a fashion statement!
Amelia’s wedding attire was elegant and classic with a dramatic fashion twist. She customized her 3 dimensional floral Oscar de la Renta wedding dress to reflect her elegant personal style. Amelia paired her timeless wedding dress with a floral appliquéd watteau train, which was the perfect finishing touch for her outdoor garden wedding.
Amelia’s bridesmaids were dressed in mix and match bridesmaid dresses from Gucci, Amsale, Mac Duggal, and Marchesa Notte in a beautiful palette of pink and peach floral and solids.
A slightly damp weather forecast did not put a damper on this elegant garden wedding. Rain showers forced the first look indoors, but the skies cleared in time for us to do pre-ceremony portraits in the Mount’s sunken garden. The real MVP of the day was my handy sheet that I bring to my dressing services. It helped to protect the stunning Oscar de la Renta wedding dress train from the soggy ground and keep the gown pristine until the guests saw it for the first time when Amelia walked down the long, stately aisle.
Amelia’s final look of the night was one that I and the wedding guests will not soon forget! She paired a Danielle Frankel drop waist reception dress with Amina Muaddi clear heels and a custom Olympia Le-tan needlepoint clutch commemorating the wedding day. The finishing touch was a cascade of flowers in her hair, inspired by a Rodarté fashion show and artfully styled by Erica and Renee beauty.
